I just have to say that I really did not enjoy the finale this year. It had nothing to do with who won – Both ladies are extremely talented. I just thought that the finale was more about Padma than the finalists and cooking. It was SO impersonal. You barely got to watch the finalists do any cooking at all! And what’s with not being able to cook a whole meal?! We missed their desserts which were probably both quite delicious, but because of the silly format of the show, we didn’t get to see them. I’m glad I recorded the show because halfway through I started zipping through the boring stuff and only watched the presentation of the dishes and judging. Please ask Top Chef to go back to making the show about the chefs and their food, and not about everything else! I was extremely disappointed. I’ve watched this show for 10 years and this was the worst finale of all.
