Santé!: “Half & Half” Arnold Palmer

I remember having this refreshing blend on hot summer days. A classic that is served in restaurants all over the city. It is a blend of half-sweet tea and half lemonade often just called a “half & half.” In New Orleans, you can often order it with pink lemonade, but I prefer the refreshing taste of the classic.
Perfect for this warm Memorial day!

What you will need

20 ounces iced tea, plus 10 ounces

20 ounces lemonade, plus 10 ounces

1 lemon sliced

In a large tea pitcher add iced tea and lemonade and stir to combine.

Add the 10 ounces of iced tea and lemonade and stir. Fill an empty ice-cube tray with the lemonade mixture and freeze.

Tip: Freezing the mixture as ice cubes keeps your drink from being watered down!

Once the ice cubes are frozen solid, add to the pitcher, and give it a good stir. Use the ends of the lemons to squeeze into the bottoms of the glasses. Place a slice in the bottom of each glass top with ice and place one more slice. Pour into glasses garnish with lemon slices and enjoy!
